Afternoon with Marina Marina: We are pleased to have Marc Jovani. Marc is a film music and video games composer. Lives and works in Los Angeles. He has worked with stars like Christian Slater (Robin Hood), Natasha Henstridge (Species), Tom Skerritt (Alien) in films that have been released worldwide and have been broadcast on TV in the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Spain and Japan among others. Jovani’s career has been meteoric and with many accomplishments. To name just few highlights, in 2011, Jovani composes the film The Escape, a movie directed by James Connelly and produced by Paul Merryman. It won the Los Angeles Shorts Festival, for the category Best Drama, and it became Eligible for The Oscars Award Consideration.

An orchestral template is an important tool that will help the film composer -or any composer who produces orchestral music- keeping things organised. There are all sorts of templates and they range from small ones with a few tracks and buses to massive ones with hundreds or more than a thousand tracks. Several computers will usually be required in order to run those bigger templates. To give you an example of a fairly big template, this is John Powell’s Logic template. HATFIELDS & MCCOYS: BAD BLOOD is a production of Hybrid, Synthetic Filmwerx, Barnholtz Entertainment, and Lionsgate. DVD distribution appears to have been handled through Lionsgate. The film stars Christian Slater, who’s known for starring in many big budget films in the 90′, including Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles, FernGully: The Last Rainforest, Broken Arrow, and Hard Rain. Christian Slater won the Golden Globe Award for supporting actor in a series or TV movie with his performance as a mysterious hacktivist in Mr. Robot.

The Perfect Student starring Natasha Henstridge won a Bronze Telly Award for Best Cinematography by Denis Maloney and a second for Best Art Direction by Rafael Sierra. Natasha Henstridge is a Canadian actress known for her debut in the science-fiction thriller Species. Natasha won the Gemini Award for Best Actress, for the role she played in the Canadian TV mini-series Would Be Kings.
